About I.T. By The Sea
Hi,
My name is Christine Roux, and I am the President of I.T. By The Sea, LLC.
I have been working in the IT field for over twenty-five years helping home users, small and medium businesses with their computers and their networks.
In the early 1980s, I was teaching English As a Second Language for a Buenos Aires (Argentina) company. One day, my classroom computer broke ten minutes before I had to begin teaching a class consisting of eight high level executives. I looked around and realized it was up to me to fix the computer. Not only did I manage to do it (with the help of a couple of friends on the phone), but I discovered computers fascinated me. A month later, I was fixing all the other teachers' computers. Six months later, I was taking care of the whole corporate network and I kept administrating and managing it for over fifteen years.
In 1997, I came to the US and went back to school, at age 45 and in my third language (can you tell I am very proud of that?) to learn more about the "whys" and the "hows" of computers and networks.
I now hold a Bachelors' degree with a major in Computer Information Technology (CIT), and a Masters' degree in CIT with a Specialization in Networking. I did all my graduate work, including my Masters' Project on Networking and Virtualization.
I also hold several Vendor and Vendor-neutral certifications:
COMPTIA A+
COMPTIA Network+
COMPTIA Security+
COMPTIA IT Project+
Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
I started I.T. By The Sea, after several years in the academic world, because I was appalled by the stories I was hearing about the way so many computer technicians treat their clients.
I wanted to create a company that made it clear to all our clients that we care about them, about their computers, about their networks and about their business.
I am proud to say, that is what our clients actually say about us.
